Prudence- 2019, a national conference on ‘Changing face of Entrepreneurship’ takes place at Quantum University.

Quantum School of Business organized the national conference, “Prudence-2019” on 23rd November 2019 at the lively university campus. The theme of the conference was “Changing face of Entrepreneurship: Startup, E-Commerce & Empowerment”. Prudence- 2019 provided delegates and students with opportunities for collaborative learning with industry experts, exclusive networking opportunities, idea sharing forums along with entertaining activities. 

The conference began with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony by honourable Vice-Chancellor of the university, Dr Vivek Kumar. In his inaugural address, he warmly welcomed eminent personalities who were present there to add glory to the event.  The conference was graced by the presence of many distinguished and senior corporate leaders including Prof. Ajit Kumar, Chief Guest; Mr Sushil Agarwal, Eminent Guest of Honour; Mr Rajesh Sethia, Keynote speaker and Guest of Honour. Additionally, Prof. Pankaj Mondon Panel Chair and Moderator and Mr Sanjeev Gupta, Panel Expert were also among the speakers. Throughout the conference, attendees participated in the event, heard inspiring speakers and learned from their leaders. 

Dr Lokinder Kumar Tyagi, Dean, Quantum School of Business while apprising the participants about the objective of the event said, “Prudence is being organised to live the spirit of innovation and foster a community of dynamic thinkers who can serve society through their innovations”. He further discussed the challenges and opportunities that may come in the path of the students while pursuing their entrepreneurship dream.

In this conference, more than 40 selected research papers were presented and discussed by the faculty member and research scholars from different part of India. UPES, Uttarakhand;  Ravenshaw University, Cuttack; MDU, Haryana; Noida International University; Poona College of Humanity and Commerce, Maharashtra; BPS Mahila University, Sonipat; Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Ambala,  Central University of Jammu were among the other prominent contributors to the conference. By presenting a research paper, University Center for Economic Managerial, Mexico also added its bit to the conference. 

The concluding remarks were given by, Dr Lokinder Kumar Tyagi, Dean, Quantum School of Business. He appreciated and thanked delegates for sparing their valuable time for delivering such insightful speeches and lectures for the students. He also showed his willingness to conduct some more fruitful conferences for the students in the near future. In the end, Dr Vivek Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, Quantum University presented mementoes and certificates of appreciation to the guest speaker on behalf of the university.

The conference was truly fruitful as it truly went a long way in helping students to gain a better understanding and perspective about the start-ups, e-commerce and entrepreneurship. Overall, Prudence- 2019 proved to be a learning affair for the students and due to its enriched content, it will stay with the attendees for a long time.
